...first, a 2 inch pot is way too small to grow anything successfully, second, if you're tilting the pot and water is pouring out then it's way too wet. Why are you tilting the pot?

Why are you tilting the pot? because the media soaked up all the water and I wanted to see if water was in the pot switching to a 6 inch pot tomorrow

...strange post??? If the media soaked up all of the water then there obviously was water in the pot. I'm not sure 'tilting the pot' is a good way to check for moisture levels, if that's what you're doing. The media should be damp, and if it is, there should be no reason to 'tilt the pot' to see how much water is in there. If you've got water spilling out of your pots then that is the reason your plants are rotting.

I got some giant VFT seeds on the way my question is can they be sown outside now or is it better to wait to spring? Is it too late to try to grow them outside this late in the summer?
