I hadn't heard of Jessy until now, but even before I knew of his wrong doings I probably would have stayed away. The many spelling mistakes and grammar errors are enough to keep me away. Too lazy to even get their slogan right??? Come on! Spell check isn't that time consuming.

I'm a little bit confused by this whole situation.
Before I make any more assumptions about this topic could you please fill us in on some of the details?

Not at all Doug. Thanks to feedback from this forum Regina decided to distance herself from potential problems, broke off that pending partnership and has asked for my help instead. Awesome news Rick !!! Good luck and I , as well as many others im sure, are looking forward that new store which will definitely benefit from your experience !

I guess the person who aquired the nursery from Rick decided not to partner with oldworldexotics, and instead decided to bring Rick on as the greenhouse operator: www.carnivorousplantsforsale.com/

"The idea of creating a climatize plant for the BC area and be able to micro cultivate in Canada these amazing specimens became a challenge that exited me." Well, good luck with your "micro cultivation," darling. LOL! Well-said from what I've been reading.

Heeeeeee's back! I personally wouldn't buy from him until he owns up to past misdeeds, apologizes publicly and personally and makes restitution. If he doesn't, I feel I would be insulting those who were hurt in the past. "I quickly stumbled upon many new “strange” plants" can have many connotations. Hmmmmm. Fair is fair Lloyd. I cannot stress on how important it is for people to be honest and fair. Especially when we got a nice little community of CP growers here who have based their relationships on trust, fairness and honesty with one another. Well-said Lloyd!

Hi Folks. Time for an update. Unfortunately it looks like I won’t be working with/for the new owner of the nursery. Although I continued producing plants for them, covered the nursery operating expenses for 5 weeks after the sale closed and provided additional labour for the move even though I was not contractually obligated to do so unless I was compensated by the new owner, I have received nothing for my efforts and expenses to date. When presented with an employment contract from the new owner I could not get an answer to my requests for clarification but was instead asked for a criminal record check and then a full resume’. On April 30th the new owner finally came to collect the plant inventory and informed me that they would be using another facility to continue to micro-propagate their plants for them and that instead of me, close friends would be managing and/or operating their nursery. As a result of these poor business dealings I have asked them to remove any reference to me from their website as I feel it would be fraudulent to claim affiliation to me where no affiliation exists. I’m still waiting for that edit to their website to occur. I wish I had something better to say but please be warned, if you purchase from them you do so at your own risk. Hmmm...interesting turn of events playing out here. Looks like Hawaiian Botanicals is still our best Canadian online option for purchasing CPs over the internet - unless you live close enough to personally visit Jack and Jeanie, which is always a nice experience. dvg

The shop was supposed to be open weeks ago and then went on and offline now it says it is supposed to be today.... Still nothing. People this disorganized don't magically become organized when you place an order with them, doubly except much if you do order. As a side note, Rick will you be selling any small divisions from your personal collection? There were a couple flytraps I never got a chance to order. I hope your better off not dealing with this people.

Amazing, he's too cheap to pay for an actual domain, so the site is hosted on Wordpress. I'm quite frankly shocked at how little effort was put into this whole racket. I agree! ......still not shop.... that was open two days ago. At least say that you're working on it and it will be up soon.

I guess the person who aquired the nursery from Rick decided not to partner with oldworldexotics, and instead decided to bring Rick on as the greenhouse operator: www.carnivorousplantsforsale.com/I'm a little confused by this all, since The Urban Bog's (UB) site has some fine print that reads: Old World Exotics is located in Vancouver British Columbia. We sell our carnivorous and exotics plants online . Wholesalers please call 1 (604)428-4286 or email regina@oldworldexotics.com for product list and pricesIs the UB just a re-branded Old World Exotics (OWE)? UB's site it sucks. A good portion of the buttons don't work. For example clicking "Shop" or "Shop by Plants" will take you either to a message about not being open yet or to the actual shop. Also don't get me started on the flip flopping of units on the site.
