...hey guys, this is what I've been up to all winter... 20150516_142320 by Gabriel Pona, on Flickr ...these are most of my Dionaea seedlings, now moved into the greenhouse. The rest are still in my basement. There should be at least 36 hours in a day, not 24. ...happy growing and oh yeah, UP THE IRONS!!! (I haven't said that in a while)

That's the biggest seedling tray I've ever seen. Must have been fun carrying it up from the basement

That's the biggest seedling tray I've ever seen. Must have been fun carrying it up from the basement ...haha, nope, this one had to be custom built 'on site'. It is 8 feet long and there are probably somewhere around 300 seedlings in there. Some pots have 3, 4, 5 or more so I don't know the exact number. I haven't counted them.

Amazing work! You would not believe how envious I am of your skill, lol. ...thanks Bonfield, but do I sense a bit of sarcasm there? I suspect you are a far more accomplished grower than I.

No sarcasm, I'm hopeless with temperate species. Plus, I've pretty much let my back yard turn into a field of dandelions and thistles.

Great work Amanito!
I didn't let my vft seedlings see your setup...they'd be jealous.

...thanks guys, I'm doing a lot of experimenting so I need a lot of 'guinea pigs'. Some of these seedlings are pretty huge, seeing that germination for most of them occurred some time in December (I think, don't feel like checking my notes). Some of the larger ones are actually bigger than other adult plants that I have. Maybe I'll have a chance of winning my own contest next year. Now I have to make one of these for the other side of the greenhouse and bring out the rest.

...I thought I'd update this thread. The seedlings from the greenhouse pic are now here, all repotted... ...that is a full 4' x 8' seedling tray, on top of two short frames of scaffolding. Hal, this one had to be built on site as well. Here's a couple of close ups... ...these still need to be repotted, but that will be next spring. Here are 3 of my yellow ones... ...and these are the ones from the basement. These will still get repotted into larger pots before winter... ...all pics taken Sep 20. I've got some pretty cool ones. Just about to enter one in my 'Biggest Trap' thread. Cheers and thanks for looking!
