Hi AV - Sorry you have to let people know that. I too have been getting unsolicited requested to buy plants, based on my grow list. Unfortunately, the frequency of such requests is increasing, and getting a bit irksome. Keep up the good work and "Illegitimi non carborundum!"

...this is one from the project... ...I really hope this pic can be seen. The flower stalk here is 7/16", that's 11mm wide (never mind the VFTU here!). The two other, smaller ones, are exhibiting the same characteristic. Thanks for looking. AV.

Hi AV - Very nice! That has to be the largest scape I've ever seen on a VFT! I see the breeding is producing some interesting results already. As always, I'm looking forward to future updates. Keep 'em growing.

Hi AV - Don't go get the Latin dictionary. Won't help. It's mock Latin, popularized as " Don't let the bastards grind you down". It was my tounge-in-cheek response to the annoyance of being pestered about acquiring plants that were never offered. Meant to be lighthearted.

...was not aware of that one at all AP. Not even in a 40 page Latin phrase mini dictionary, within an 800 page English dictionary I found in a blue box from 1928! Much better than the tried and true Carpe Diem! My new favourite phrase after your explanation! Love it man, and they won't!!! (Braveheart's last moments come to mind!!!!).
...I should clarify that that flower stalk is not round, and the 11mm is not a diameter dimension. Actual dimensions are 11mm X 3mm, a cross section of the scape would reveal an elongated and skinny hockey rink shape. Happy 150th Canada!!!

...Here is a pic of one of the flowers from the aforementioned plant, a first for me, three seed pods!!! Please don't be distracted by the couple of amorous bugs that have no shame. Cheers! AV.

...no, I didn't put anything up on YouTube about Flytraps, I did do a Ceph burn though. Here are some more from the project (not all), looking very colourful in late summer. 8 inch pots, thanks for looking. AV.

Are all those from your 2014 planting? It looks like you have some very nice VFTs. Any Golden Cilia contenders?

...bince - there's 4 cultivars in that tub, all the others are from the project. Largest trap in there is about 3800 SVFTU, did not make the cut... ...samskwatch - "did the ceph burned well", I don't know what you mean. I don't have the link, YouTube, type in cephalotus follicularis burn, check it out for yourself. ...flytrapdrosera - don't know what you mean either, watering and dividing???....no comprende

I meant that's a lot of plants to have to water and once they get big enough to need dividing its a lot to dividing and watering the new plants and the mother plants should be fun to have to tend to all those plants and divisions but hey that pic shows your up for the challenge and in a way it needed to be done incase you lose a few. hope that's not the case though!!
