...it's a tie now between boosted7 and curlingguy, both at an inch and a half. Next entry should be at least 1 9/16''. I think it would also be good if there was some more info given about the plant being entered. What cultivar it is if it is one, some history about how long you've had it or how you came about owning it, you know. Good luck to all!

When I was out taking picture of plants for sale a couple flytraps caught my eye. My B52 is covered in 1 1/2 inch traps but there was only one or two marginally bigger, but then I saw this guy. If we count the teeth is 43mm across (1 11/16th inches) without teeth its 40 (1 9/16th) I was actually really surprised not to see large traps on other plants, they have loads of large traps but none that push that 1 3/4 mark. I think that if its a single rosette the traps get bigger then if its a large clump. Also it's a pain in the ass to try to take a good picture of how large a trap is without distorting the measurement, next time I'm getting my wife to help! Big Vigorous With Teeth Without Teeth Plant

...here is my entry. It is VERY close to that 1 5/8" mark. One of my seedlings, will be a year old in December. Will keep a close eye on this one next year. ...some hail damage is still visible. It's got nice colour in the traps too. A very nice plant, I like this one. Cheers!

Got out the ruler again on my weekend. Couple large traps, I think this was the largest one. 1 3/4 or bigger if you count the tips of the teeth Whole Plant and just for fun a B52 with a ton of 1 1/2 traps and my favourite clone from seed I call this one Carls Clone, it looks normal most of the year but produces these beautifully colour traps in the fall. and for Maiden, one of his giant clones with some nice colour

...the year is coming to an end. Unless someone has some late season Flytrap bombs to enter, I will close this contest Nov 30 and hopefully get out some prizes to participants before Christmas.
