I guess my cup trap just wasn't big enough! I have never actually measured any traps before, went out and they're starting to grow well. Bad idea putting the T5s above them early, the aphids liked the extra light and heat more then the plants did. I probably set them back more then helping them, after the sun came out I just filled the tray full of water and drown the aphids for 2-3 days. Just a half hair away from an inch and a half

Shouldn't measurements for this contest be in metric units?

Good point this is a Canadian forum! As this is amanitovirosa's contest we should let him make the call

...I don't think it really matters if we use imperial or metric. 1 inch equals 2.54 cm, whatever is easier for you. I grew up using metric but now I don't use anything but imperial, mostly because (even though this is Canada), at work, metric is not used. If it comes down to it and it is really that close at the end of the contest (Rule #?), we will be rounding off to 3 decimal places. Cheers and good luck to all who enter.

How about VFT standard units?

1mm = 100 SVFT
This trap is 2500 svft across! Sounds a lot more impressive then 2.5 cm
Who wants to write the paper?

...ok, let's use the Standard Venus Fly Trap Units like lloyd and H20 said.
1 mm = 100 SVFT.
Done.

...Hi Boosted, thanks for entering. It appears that your trap is about 1.5". I think that for future entries a clear, see through rule or tape should be used. This will help to prevent inaccuracies in measurement. After some math, 1.5" = 3810 SVFT, the size to beat now. Cheers!
