Just a heads up, this won't effect everyone's mail delivery. I talked to the lady at the post office this morning and asked about the strike. It was the first she had heard of it; She said that she isn't going on strike and that if it was anyone in the organization it could be the drivers that deliver to the mailboxes that are in the various neighbourhoods. Long story short, if you get your mail direct from a post office and there is a strike you shouldn't be effected. All the posties at my canada post outlet are all going on strike. I don't think she actually has a choice and your postie will be on strike too. It seems very odd that she has not heard anything about it. The only service still available will be welfare cheques and pension cheques. I get my mail from canada post direct as we do not get door to door delivery in Squamish. I sell a lot of blu rays and Lp's online and am the post office about three times a week and they tell me it is imminent and will be for everyone ( canada post staff) / and also affect everyone's ( the public's) mail :/

so I finished talking to my good friend the post lady. it's not going to affect all of Canada, Canada post deals with a few separate Unions. This no where dose it mentions every where.

Just so that every understands, this will effect EVERYONES delivery.
What it will not effect is the rural post offices because they are on a different Union. These post offices will still run and you are more then welcome to drop stuff off but it won't go anywhere until the strike is over because the system for movement and all the urban offices will be on strike.
I sent stuff through FedEx today and it was just as easy as Canada Post, I highly suggest using this method if you would like to ship plants over the strike.

Is it the same as canada post or more? I know it depends on the size of the box, but if I had 2 of the same boxes weight size etc and one went canada post and one FedEx would they be the same price? Thanks. PM me the answer so I am notified.

Yeah she's mad she has to go to work but there's no point for her to be there as not much will happen as long as he lockout or strike is happening.
