Here's a heads up to those of us that favor Canada Post as their Carnivorous Plants shipping option.
On July 1st, Canada Post management is planning to lockout its mail carriers, as talks have broken down between the union and management, with management walking away from the bargaining table.
So with that in mind, any pending trades, sales or giveaways should be completed before the July 1st date.
After that, another shipping option will be needed to get the plants to their destination.
The last time this happened was in 2011, when a large Group Order was underway with members of this forum and Exotica Plants in Australia.
Canada Post was unable to ship our plants and UPS was utilized at a higher cost to us, than was originally planned on with Canada Post delivering the package.

Thanks for the head up DVG. This greatly effects not only CP sales but my other jobs as well.
I'll have to start driving over the border once a month to ship stuff through USPS and that wouldn't be fun.

Just a heads up, this won't effect everyone's mail delivery. I talked to the lady at the post office this morning and asked about the strike. It was the first she had heard of it; She said that she isn't going on strike and that if it was anyone in the organization it could be the drivers that deliver to the mailboxes that are in the various neighbourhoods. Long story short, if you get your mail direct from a post office and there is a strike you shouldn't be effected.
