sorry to hear that ... I should be worried too because I've seen squirrels in my backyard more frequently in recent weeks.

flytrap thats a smart idea, is your setup covered?? and how do you get in to maintian?? lets see what you got bud id love 2 see all your "PRIZED SPECIMENS" and your outdoor setup sid Here's a pic of the glass enclosure for your info. The photo was snapped today... the plants are a bit dry with the hot sun we've had (and low water). I'll find some earlier photos taken of it earlier in the year for comparison later:

Is that high enough to keep squirrels from jumping in? I've seen them launch themselves from a running jump. Not to mention jumping off trees, fences or anything nearby.

Here's another pic I found ... taken earlier in the year: The height of the glass wall is just under 40" tall. Total enclosure is 37" wide by 63" long.

all glass??? WOOOW that sure does give it a nice glimour, very classy look to it i bet the kids love drawin on it haha but it also keeps them out very good idea musta cost a pretty penny unless you got a inside glassman almost 4 feet eh?? how accesible is it?? also did u silicone the seems of fuse?? thickness?? i find glass to much to deal with although all other acrylic or plastic "replace glass" actulally fades over time form the sun AND it scraches form a simple washing very good build Traper SA

i dont think id trust the squirrels with somethin like tht eather squirrels are to much for me im glad i did what i did with my setup form the begining i never woulda though that they would be such a newsense as they dont really do nothin to the other normal plants and flowers around the house and yard, but it seems everyone heres had one encounter with a intruder or another

lol.. compared to the plants in my garden.. my vFTs were anciet! the squirrels will dig in anything loose (they roll in the soil to cool off), and anything hard (to hid nuts, etc in) the only difference is the bigger plants have deep root systems.. so they don't die as easily

Squirrels are terrible garden pests here as we are on a ravine. I've lost over 2/3 of my tomatoes to the devil beasts.
