AWFULLY fishy - the fact that the first pitcher is looks like the first few pics of N. edwardsiana found on Google Images, and the second, he somehow focused the camera so that it ONLY gets the leaves - I can't see any pitchers on it! what gets me is the price... for N edwardsiana alone, AND for a plant THAT size... but it could be the real deal but then again, the seller has 0 feedback. just IMO. your right Matei, it sound s very fishy when i think about it again. it is not even the same leave shape

Thats some Type of N. Mirabilis you can tell by the leaf structure. You can see the leaf 'hugs' the stem in edwardsiana it does not. It's supposed to be petiolate at the base. Compare this actualy eddy where the leaf structure is clear to that of N. Mrabilis which very common among Thailand growers.

good comparison Daniel. YUp! That ebay plant looks nowhere close to an eddy.

I'm not sure, probably some obscure grower, there a few growers around who them from seed. Might be that guy's, the one from the article who left his wife and kids, to grow CP's. It was called the Secret garden.

It's a good thing that the 'eddie peddler' provided a pic of the plant that is being palmed off as being a genuine 'eddie'. On some of the other forums, growers that actually have eddies have stepped up and identified the plant in question as a fake.
That plant looks remarkably like an N. albomarginata, which might be one of the reasons that bidding has been stalled on that eBay auction at $27.00 for some time now...especially when MT is selling their albo's for $5.00 US.

And the winning bid was $202.50 US...not too bad, Neps have gone for more.
Maybe in time the winning bidder will be able to laugh about how the expensive Nep they had bought on eBay was supposed to be an eddie. Let's hope.
