is there a bulb still? If there is, you can cut all of the dead leaves off and plants the bulb in some soil just below the soil, and some new, but small, leaves will pop up eventually. I saved a few VFT's doing this. I think you should try... stupid bird. I see my VFT seedlings!! haha!! lol, nice to see they're doing well Pet.

Sorry about the VFT but it should come back.
U. macrohiza: If you ever have any to share I wouldn't mind making a deal. Is it hard to keep? Does it need dormancy?

Bad to hear, esp when it's a special version! Looks like it will still survive though, good for that!

Lloyd: I'll send you a PM about the Utric Prmills and Sib: I think it'll come back, the bulb is still healthy (although it lay in the sun for maybe 2 hours, with no soil on its roots )

I agree with many of the others here. The bulb looks good and I think it should survive. Pink Venus plants are slower growing though, so it's not a shoe in to make a full recovery.

Yup dang squirrels is all I can say. Dug up all my fly traps and trough them on the ground. Dug up about 15 sarrs in my bog garden and about 20 D. Filliformis. I went out and bought a fake owl and fake snakes to put in the bog garden yesterday and the little bugger just dug up all the dirt around both of them!!!!! I tried Cayenne pepper and tons of other things!!!! I think I'm gonna have to trap them and relocate them....to my freezer! LOL JJ

Don't think so! I would use that but my bog is in my front yard and it may look a bit tacky to have a chicken wire cage covering the whole thing!

An update on my somewhat injured Pink Venus! It's finally began growing (for 4 weeks, all it's done is sit in the pot in my terrarium...) and is about to open its first trap after shock! I'm very happy it survived. Just one question though....should I give it a dormancy? I'm not sure if it'll survive after this shock, and since it's spent a month and a half in a hot terrarium I don't think it'll enjoy dormancy very much Any ideas?

Dormancy really isn't a shock but I think you shouldn't go from hot terrarium to fridge dormancy. Sometime in between would be good. However one year out of dormancy won't hurt a plant.
