If it is actively growing now and appears happy, I would let it continue for another 6 weeks or so to build up strength/acclimatize to its new surroundings. You can then gradually induce dormancy by placing it right up against a cool window. After a few more weeks the lower photoperiod and cooler temps should coax it to sleep and you can then store it in the fridge in a baggie until March. Remember to let it dry out a little to avoid rotting.

Dormancy really isn't a shock but I think you shouldn't go from hot terrarium to fridge dormancy. Sometime in between would be good. However one year out of dormancy won't hurt a plant. I'm not 100% sure that missing a year of dormancy is harmless... last fall, I had a chipmunk dig up all of my VFT that I had in pots on the front porch. I planted the pieces and they all grew quite well, but in the last two months, they have declined severely. I'm going to throw them in the fridge sometime this month and see what happens. >>> Rick <<<

Wow, those are some truly spectacular VFT's. I've never been big on them, maybe because they're so ubiquitous, but when I see all these different cultivars they make me want some.
BTW, the dentate you sent me are doing fine. I split them into three and they're about quarter-sized now.

Wow! That stinks! I had the same thing happen to two of my big mouth cultivars! I think the best thing to do is place a nice big Nepenthes Rajah beside those dionaeas and see how that bird likes this plant ;D! hehehe
