Can you kill algae on growing medium without hurting your cp's or seedlings??? Can you use an algaecide, like for pools, in a mild solution??

I know there are some that are supposed to be non-toxic to plants and fish but CP's are sort of sensitive. You would have to experiment. Is it solid medium or liquid? I'm getting algae on my aquatic U. gibba which is annoying but I'm afraid to try algaecides for fear of hurting the plants, fish or filter bacteria.

The medium I'm using is LFS and peat. Having the same problem in both. I want to get rid of this stuff cause I hear it affects seedlings in that it over powers the seeds.

I've never heard of any problem with algae except in aquatic medium.

try getting some live LFS in there... ive read that it makes the water/soil more acidic (which CPs like) that is too high for Algea.

Go to Big Als Canada and they have everything. The cheapest ordinary Betta pellets should be Ok.

good site buddy, but they dont have peat pellets to lower PH, could i just buy some Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Proper P.H 6.5
Easy-to-use powder (just pour and stir) for automatically setting and holding safe ph levels! Stabilizes ph of aquarium water preventing stress on fish from sudden ph changes. Sets ph in new aquariums, old aquariums and after a water change. Not for use in planted aquariums.
im tryin to kill algea in setup, other simpler solutions would do but im not sure of any??

i believe that CPs like higher PHs, not lower. (and the higher PH keeps the algea away)
