Mine did well for years but they would crash now and then. I never figured out why. The last few years, they really dwindled after I moved them under T5HO's. I think the light/temperatures were too intense. I moved them to a terrarium with some sun and bright daylight and they are recovering. Just an observation.

Iv grown mine under cheap t8 shop light for over a year they do great photoperiod does change from summer to winter From like 18 19 hour to 15 for winter i usually increase slowly and de crease slowly didnt do that this year . They seems to abort most of the pitchers when i repot tho ..even when i take a mister bottle and spray in the pitchers ...

you guys give them a dormant period at all , as they need this to keep doing well , as in there natural habit , soils and mixes are really not a issue its more about water quality, light and temperature , cephs prim grow temp it about 25 to 28 c in grow time, if it get hotter the plant slows off , up to 40 c they stop dead , , to cold and the got dormant ,as in our winter where nights are 2 to 5c and days 5 to 10c approx. so really to get your cephs going summer grow time temps should be around 25 c and good light normaly about 70% light natural is good , and winter at 10 to 12 c day time and lower at night . to get good dark colour into a ceph good natural light at low temps will colour up the pitchers, to grow large pitchers lower light will do it same temps . but all ways have good air flow or you will get mold rust white mold , and root rot hope that helps

well if there not growing ,there is some thing else wrong you need to attend to , ,usually when I get this sort of a problem , i start eliminating the suspects to find why , it may be a move , watering , light, ventilation that is critical indeed , its some thing obviously , u now need to find it with some elimination systematic work, as ceph grow very easily indeed !

How far from T5 HO should they be Judging from my experience, its the heat from the T5HO's, not the light. VFT's shouldn't be bothered by light but wouldn't like temps. > 30's much.

I would not put the cephs to close to the light at all , they will still grow well in lower light as long as its the right light of cause , have you got any photos , in detail not a fuzzy long distant shot and in focus too , may help , not easy to make a call on a plant on just a word description as many things cant be shown in words alone
