Here is my Future Lowland setup. 6' long by 4'6" high 3' wide Made from leftover wood I got from a friends construction projects. Don't look like much yet but in the end it will look like furniture and be filled with plants.

The future HL setup Underneath will house my normal grow tanks for plants that take forever to grow and my Cephs and heliamphora. 4 tanks and another setup exactly like this one... Then I can get the rest of the plants I think I need lol..

It's been a slow working progress. I'm going to have to hurry up though my tanks are over flowing and my other grow space is as well.

Nice looking box but I have a few questions.
What kind of lights will you put in there ? 6 foots long ?
How do intend to seal everything to keep the RH high and prevent water from spilling every where ? Do you have special tanks that fit in ?
I'm rethinking my high land set-up so any insight would be great.

It's going to be lit with a 4' and a 2' 4 bulb T5 HO light setups LL plants don't seem to like much light and won't do well unless they are 3-4' from the lights. Especially veitchii. Pond liner in the bottom up 6" with a few inches of water in the bottom. Raised sub floor consisting of double layered light diffuser with a few air stones to push some air in and increase humidity. Probably 4. It will also be lined with Mylar on the sides and the top will be glass with about a 2" open side. Front doors will also be glass as well. I'm still debating a heat source as of now. Might have to play around with or combine a couple things together to keep the temps where they need to be. I will then most likely do my Finnish work and make it look like a regular showcase type furniture piece with stain that resembles my existing furniture and finishes.
The HL setup will be the same way but be lit with a single 4 bulb T-5 HO. I may also put in a few shelves or levels in that one to get some of the smaller plants up closer to the light idk for sure yet it's still a working progress.

It is going to be an awesome setup, I have some that a very similar to what you're building and they work well. I'm excited to see the finished product. I should note that a single T5 for that area isn't going to be enough light for highland Nepenthes. It will work for seedlings when they are close but you're going to need to add a couple more lights once they get big enough. You should check out Matt's setup on pitcher plants. www.pitcherplants.proboards.com/thread/11859/introduction-highland-setupHe uses T8's but there are 8 of them and a 400w MH.

I should note that a single T5 for that area isn't going to be enough light for highland Nepenthes. Thanks for that link. I was astonished by the single T5HO too. I have 2 setting. LL is 2X2X4 and there's 3 T5HO 54W in it and my LL is 2X2X4 too but I only put 2 T5Ho 54W in it. It is perhaps a bit much but don't seems so much so for a 6 ' long 4,6' high, I would assume more was needed. If you keep this rrack Cory, let me know how it fare ... I should perhaps remove some light in there.

Idk how it's all going to wash out in the end. Some tweaking and some light adjustments will definitely be needed it's just off to a start and where I'm beginning to work from. Nothing is final until everything is growing well. Temps are maintained properly and humidity is stable. IMO this is the hard part about growing. The plants know what to do themselves once the conditions are right
Btw thank you for the link Justininwonderland. That helps.

Got the first coat of stain on today. It's going to need a few more to match the rest of my furniture but I'm getting there. Probably 3 coats maybe 4 Attachments:

Thanks Maiden
This one is for my LL plants.. I'm very eager to get plants in it as well. My other setup is quite over grown and some are in desperate need of a repot.
