vraev,
Its held March 7-11 in the Metro Toronto convention center downtown . Perhaps closer to the date we can try to arrange to have those interested in attending go as a group again.

Here are some pics of the plants I bought at the Niagara show. Sorry they took so long, but I hope you enjoy them I have some good pics of several plants from the show as well. Just need to adjust some of the raw photos for posting. >>> Rick <<<

Beautiful plants. I have to restrain myself as I have 2 tables of orchids already. One got so big I gave it to a civic greenhouse.

It's nice to know you can keep 'em happy, though. I hope I don't go through that with this N. bicalcarata. It's basically a newly rooted cutting that I got from David Wong when he made that Borneo exotics purchase a while ago. It's already got 12" leaves, but if it does get huge, I will do SOMETHING to accommodate it. Maybe we can provide it with a few more tribbles, eh Jay and Carl ? >>> Rick <<<

Damn them tribbles, the mere mention of them sentenced this thread to DEATH
But anyways, I wanted to bump this sucker back up to refresh the Canada Blooms business... I think a new thread would be better (why oh WHY do I always do stupid stuff like this while explaining that I really do know better?!?!?) but this ones already here...
My birthday is March 8th which means that the most likely day I will hit the show would also be my very own mega-party day, which would be kinda cool but kinda rushed.. still, I am thinking saturday march 8th might be a good target- as long as I'm back home by 6 or so to recieve friends and get down to business, I think it'll go smooth.
So, who's with me (countdown to Sib starting a proper new thread like I should have done in 5.....4.....3.....)

Uhhh right, little calendar trouble there, prolly also Tribble related So I guess I mean the 10th, which means I will already be older and hopefully wiser Whatever the best day for the most of us is, that's fine, I will now start a thread about it so folks like me on slow dialup don't have to wait for all these pics to load

whoa! I never did see some of the new pics here. The orchids look amazing rick. I hear however that they are a b**ch to grow. Very picky and all. lol! its interesting that I say that considering I got forced to picky growing of CP's...but the orchids were for my mom. She wanted one...but then she was put off by the price and the hard requirements. Also in my house...my parents dont like keeping lights on too long...so inside would be sure death for the plant.

I have mostly Phalenopsis that were abandoned when the flowers fell off. I grow them in bright daylight in the house. No lights, standard household temperatures and humidity. I just repot them, water them with dehumidifier water with orchid fertilizer. Lots of flowers and very little problems. Occasionally, they get scale and I treat them with alcohol, Neem and Insecticidal soap. Very nice and hardy houseplants.
