Carl ,
A gathering of more then 3 has happened before...and for the most part the space-time continuum remained in tact. A couple years back we had a OCPS meeting once at Lloyd's house .

The space-time continuum appears intact in my neighbourhood but a huge tree almost destroyed my house, garden and car this spring, likely as a direct result of that same meeting.

Well, I'm safe then, there's no big trees in front of my house I talked to the show organizer and he said that there will definiterly be some Neps there- he said he called them Orchids too, but knows that's not correct, and he didn't know squat about Pings, but there should still be some spectacular plants there, should be a fun outing!!

Sophia, Rachael and I arrived at madubon's place at 11:15 this morning. We shot the breeze for a while and headed over to the show (about 5 minutes away). Somehow, we missed you - a shame, as I was looking forward to meeting you.
I could see the possibility of us missing each other given the large turnout that they had (unless madubon knows you already).
Madubon figured that if there was anything good in CP there, it would have been in your possession already. The one vendor had a nice large N. Miranda there, but nothing new for us.
I picked up a real nice phragmapedium (sp??) though.
All in all, an enjoyable afternoon - would have been better had we all been able to hook up.
Next time around, we should meet at a McRaunchies or something like that and then go from there.

We must have just missed you man, we came a bit closer to 2 I think, we got talkin' a bunch of stuff and were slightly delayed I was joking that you already came and bought all the good CPs, tho that HUGE N.miranda was still there All in all it was pretty cool, a couple of NICE displays

So, was it a great show anyway, although some aren't orchids aficionados (for now!) ? Was what available others than that N. miranda?

We only saw N. miranda (monster plant) and some N x ventrata (looked like they didn't get too much light, though, as they were mostly green).
I picked up three nice orchids, including a coral orange and yellow Phrag Don Wimber.
All in all, it was a nice day!

I remember one day that he listed in his catalog some variegated N. alata cutting for 200$, so i can imagine the price of a N. miranda
