The Montreal Botanical Garden's Rendez-vous Horticole is usually held at the last week-end of May. I'll try to be there this year if my job allow me some spare time.

We didn't take any pics Varun, it was just a gigantic green THING, he was asking 30 bucks for it when we were there, which isn't too bad for a true giant but still. Rick snapped a bunch of Orchid pics, so they might get posted once he gets them organized And dammit Jay, I knew you'd hit the place like a lightning bolt, I told Ange that the reason there were NO Cps past them Neps was YOU and I was right Next year I'll be with you in line

lol! nice...... hey carl, my parents cameover to visit yesterday....and after 2 months they are seeing the plants...they said ... "OMG! these things have grown a lot. Then to show them my VFT mettle, THE FIRST TIME....SINCE I HAVE GOT A VFT in my control....I tRIGGERED THE TRAP TO AWE THEM." I never do that because I don't want to waste the plants energy. Even I was shocked. it was the B-52......snap shut in 0.05 sec. My parents were soo shocked. lol! I was soo happy...lol!.....its like another reassuring reason to get more plants next summer. lol! now back on topic. Hey guys, have you seen this real small orchid in the show?? It was posted by someone on UK forums. looks amazing.

If that thing was there, I didn't notice it- the displays were pretty nutty tho- I found that every time I looked at one, I would find more tiny little blooms in the nooks and crannies- you have to think about the fact that most of the displays were at least 4 feet tall and several wide- there were a few that were totally "3-D", they went from floor to maybe 10 feet high and were like huge pyramids of moss and sticks and stuff, really really cool Rick or Jay could maybe tell ya if that little guy was there, but I am no orchid guy.. yet

One of my favorite shows is Canada blooms. Since the start of the OCPS, attending the show has become a little tradition with Syble and I. They always have a couple CP's for sale and tons of orchids.
Ill try dig up some pictures from our first OCPS blooms outing which included Syble,Chhang and myself (think Z was there that year too but we never found him).

Too bad we dont all live in the same area, it would be nice to create a display similar to the ones seen in orchids show, but full of CP. It is not that hard to do, but the needed number of plants are harder to find . It would be for sure create a great sensation and a greater interest from the public into the hobby. I have been looking to do such a thing for Quebec city, or perhaps even montreal, but now that my collection downsized, a few others growers would need to show up to create a nice display Any interest Dom1234?

I'm aware of a few flowers shows which don't charge you anything to build up an exhibit, as long as you don't have a selling table, but I can't tell if there is a lot of place like this.
