I had cut two small leaves off one of my cephs months ago. I stuck them in medium beside the parent plant and waited. Nothing happened....they looked healthy but no new growth. Then I noted one leaf turning brown and looked like it was dying. I carefully pulled it up to find no growth and it was a goner. I then carefully (patience having run out) pulled the second leaf and found this..... ;D

Try putting them in vermiculite. Then if you get impatient you won't hurt the roots.

Congrats on your lucky strike!
I've had a leaf cutting that has remained green for quirte a while now... no noticeable growth yet, but I haven't pulled it out yet. Maybe I should...
I repotted one plant earlier this year only to have the parent die off, but I made cuttings from what was left and got four growths to come off of them. When I get them grown out more, I'll make a couple of them available to the members here.

After reading your topic headline, I can see that my response was totally out in left field.
My response should have been:
I am sorry to hear that your Ceph Leaf is on strike. Do you have any idea of how long the strike will last and what sort of concessions are you going to have to make to Ceph Leaf in order to settle the dispute?
Dang, is my job here ever BORING!!! I'm going back to sleep now!

I find the ceph leaf pullings to be hit or miss and I can't figure out why some grow and some don't. I've given a few cuttings away in the past and I have a few leaves trying out. My TC ceph experiments are not exactly inspiring so far. Could it be the leaves are working-to-rule?

Insectivore: I have a few small ones that I'll be making available once I grow them out a bit more. They're pretty small yet.
