Hi guys, My rona lansing dentate...slowly started colouring up finally like beginning a few weeks ago. I noticed a flower stalk and before it even came out of the corm...like around 2 cm or so...I cut it off. I was expecting a nice growth boost. But now I notice that the plant has basically stalled new leaf production. there was only one leaf in the corm center when the stalk was coming up...and that is the only leaf that is now finishing production. I mean the plant looks perfect...it looks healthy and very good. here is again a pic which I posted a couple days ago. But....inspite of the plant looking nice and still being healthy...finishing all forming traps....THERE are no NEW growth TIPs or new leaves in the center anymore ANy idea why this is happening? cheers, vraev

I wouldn't worry. give it some food, and watch some growth happen. sib

Thanks sib! yeah....I am actually not too worried about the VFTs anymore. Atleast till next dormancy when ALL my plants need to go in. My concern however with this genus is the red dragon and the B52 which are still normally producing traps but ALL of them are "shock traps" as Brad puts it on Cpuk! they look like this: the blackened sharp tip which seems to happen now all the more....He thinks and even I am guessing its the media....my media is becoming too shallow for the plants and I think also that it is breaking down tremendously. Thats why I am also going to replant everything again this summer.
