When we had our get together at colisanties, I couldn't resist and picked up a couple big dentes. They're not eating though. They have these big and healthy looking traps but not closing I've kinda figured it had something to do with fertilizer, so they've been repotted but still nothing. Any thoughts? or do I just need to be more patient!? Sib

ooh....this happened to me with my dentate's when I got them
be ready to notice a size difference when new traps form.
I think its because they are stressed and weak. Mine wouldn't respond till like a week or so. Then they worked.

Maybe it's a tad too cold?? Or maybe, somehow, the thing is actually semi-dormant without showing all the signs?? the way "purchased" VFTs tend to flower the summer after you get them leads me to think that the latter may be the case??

I don't really think it's semi dorment, all the leaves are the tall up right ones typical of summer growth. I don't think it's cold either, it's on my stand with everything else? Suppose I'll just give it time. Thanks, Sib
