Hi all... and especially to Rick Hillier (and to Rick Walker and Rick Keehn). Whom I just sent an explanation to... Why all the Ricks? Simple. Because this old boy in BC has been confusing the various Ricks, and replying to their personal emails/messages with mismatched persons. You guys are all decent folks, so it's easy to confuse names. Like I wrote to Rick Hillier, I must have had too much RUM & Eggnog last month. The Rick I had the pleasure of viewing photos was Rick Keehn of Keehn's Carnivores. To explain what I mean, please find photos of the TC lab that Rick has set up. This is not an endorsement by me for Rick K, but to show my fellow Canadian CP'ers that I think Rick K is serious about becoming an important CP supplier for us beaverheads and muckluckers (sorry, couldn't resist ;D ). So here are some of the pics Rick K recently emailed me : AND yes, even cephalotus: Rick K also sent me some photos of other CPs, including sundews, sarracenias etc.. .but this is the VFT board, so I had to keep most of these photos in the VFT family (except for the lone cephalotus, who we all love). BEAUT, EH? David

All I can say is OH MY GOD!!! There must be more VFT there than in all of North Carolina!!!
That is impressive to say the least!

yup! Rick sent me the pics earlier. This is why....I ASKED ALL cEPH owners here to donate some ceph tissue to him. He said the ceph is going too slow. Its still not too late.....if anyone can spare some ceph tissue...please send it to rick....he is our one major supplier of CP's in canada...lets give him opportunity to get some variety for us. Then we don't have to bother about ordering from US and getting dead plants.

That's an amazing lot of VFT's. A reminder that I am experimenting with Ceph TC culture. I would appreciate any non-carnivorous leaves for my experiments. Any success I have will be shared by all here free except for postage. Those who donate will be the first in line.

I know that there are a few additions to the present growing list and that he also has probably some very very exclusive VFT's which might not be showing up till a few years down the road..but rick is going to be the best CP supplier in canada. Its a FAMILY on a mission and they want to do CP's ..its also our chance (CP hobbists) to support him as much as we can. I have atleast a 50$ order in mind for him this coming summer.

Wow, nice trays! I must admit i can't wait to have a more 'permanent' home to expand my collection to this point (ie trying to build a greenhouse)!
I'll definatly give a try to this seller this spring, although I just noticed he unfortunatly pumped up his B52 VFT's price to 20$ a piece...

when I bought it ..it was around 15$ I think.....the most expensive VFT I bought. I would say its great because it is a tough grower and a really robust little critter. I got to agree I am pretty partial to Rick Keehns. I know him personally and nearly all of my VFT's are from him and they are truly amazing in quality. So I guess I do recommend him for your CP purchases. Another main reason is that I want Rick to get good feedback and good sales so that he can soon have other CP's like aldrovanda, rajah, N.arsteriocles, cephs etc. In other words..if he can get a facility and grow into a successful organisation like "CARNIFLORA"...then we can finally be happy and content that canada has its own mass CP supplier.
