here is my end of the month VFT update The plants seem to be pulling along well. They just got a magnificent meal of crickets. juicy plump ones. All plants are pulling along well. It does kinda look etoliated compared to some of the amazing plants that some ppl grow here outdoors...but this is all I can do for now. Hence I am happy that they are atleast growing fine. The traps are a lot redder than what u can see in the pic. Its just becos the red traps have the crickets in them and the new traps are for some reason still turning red slowly. Apart from that...the new leaves of the red dragon are getting some green parts. This is probably what a few of the guys here warned me about growing it in this low light conditions. but I am happy that it is atleast alive and kicking well. I fed it 3 crickets. Any comments and feedback would be appreciated. cheers, vraev

They're looking good to me, the only thing I might suggest is to clip the black bits off the leaves, I'm kinda anal about it, but it really dosen't matter that much I suppose. But gennerally speeking they look healthy and vigorous, good job! Thanks, Sib

Thanks. I normally wait for the entire leaf to turn black before I clip it. The leaves turning black in the typical ..last pic ..is kinda irregular. The trap is turning black...but the leaf only starts after the entire trap is black. I hence wait to ensure the plant can use the chlorophyll which is still in the remaining part of the leaf. This terrarium is more about me testing if the plants can survive with me. My next project is something that "may" look similar to this: source: janW on CP UK forums. full album here: drosera.dr.funpic.de/album/index.htmlI just love the way his terrarium looks. However I can't do that with my present setup as its really small. Maybe later when i have resources and time to make a bog...I will take asthetics as a factor.
