I stuck a VFT leaf pulling into some live sphagnum moss a number of weeks ago. The trap turned black and then the stem was turning black. I thought it was just dying so pulled it out. Was pleasantly suprised to find it was growing. This is the plant with the large trap I posted I changed this next picture to a clearer one...

Wow... that is so cool. I've never seen this sort of multi-nodal growth on a VFT leaf before.
Can this phenomena be attributed back to TC?

All I can tell you is I bought the plant this summer when down at Hawaiin Botanicals in Richmond, B.C. First and only time I've been there as I live in the Interior of B.C. (eight hours away). Was a pretty mature plant when purchased.

In the past when I've done leaf pullings I've never gotten only 1 or 2 plants, it's always been a cluster like that. Sib

Same experience as with Syble. But it's a nice cluster! I find that nestling a leaf in live LFS, even uncovered, works well.
