Looks like you got me beat. My largest are about 32mm. I think tnese are reacting to lower light conditions and the shorter day length getting fall fat leavs. Red dragon Low Giant Stephen

I have a bunch in my bog this year that are in the 1.5" range... I'm too tired from eating over the weekend to convert to metric. There's one clone that I had back in the early 1980's that I wish I could track down again! I got them from a small plant vendor in Fairview Park Mall (Kitchener, ON) right in front of Sears. They came in these 2" square containers with corresonding clear lids. These traps were absolutely HUGE. I grew them under four 40W fluorescent bulbs in a tupperware tub. I covered the top with saranwrap to keep in the humidity, Anyway, the traps were deep red inside, green outside (with a red band just under the band of spines) and often exceeded two inches in length. The traps were quite "deep" as well. I remember counting 11 trigger hairs on one lobe of the trap. Of course, I knew nothing of their need for dormancy, so I lost the plants I'd kill to know what clone it was and how I could get it back. Actually, I wouldn't mind expanding my collection of these fine plants, now that I am having some success with them. >>> Rick <<<

lol! I am a newbie at VFT's dude. I love vft's. Thats why I have 7 of them with 3 in forced dormancy as an experiment (well...they were slowing down and producing smaller traps). 1 b52, 2 typical, 1 red dragon, 1 green dragon, 1 baby typical, 1 dente except the dentate and baby typical...I got all of them from richard at keehnscarnivores.com. he's an amazing guy and will hook u up with good sized plants. They are all produced by tissue culture. As a matter of fact, They have a brand new amazing website. www.keehnscarnivores.com.

Here is that monster I got last year through a trade: and the entire VFT: The beast is currently hibernating in my coolhouse, along with some sensitive southern sarracenias.
