Check out this offer. I'm getting some seeds from Brad. Seems to be a genetic mix of all types. Will be interesting to see the results. Let's all try to respect the simple conditions upon which the offer is made. www.cpukforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16166

Hi all... Here's another batch of info on some old VFTs grown by my friend Tom. I took these photos last week. Tom's had these plants and their "ancestors" for over 30 years. Here's a shot of part of his VFTs...note all the seed heads: close up of a few of the seed heads: Tom gave me a handful of floral stalks ... I counted 43 stalks he gave me, and each floral stalk had an average of six heads ... and each head contained an average of 10 seeds each. So the math works out to: 43x10x6=2,580 VFT seeds. So folks, I guess there are about 2,500 VFT seeds here! (some more off the photo and some under the Canadian penny): I've already commited most of these VFT seeds to various people and seedbanks ... some of them will be saved as "prizes" for some upcoming events and "contests" on our OCPS forum. News on this will be coming from Sib and Tom...so stay tuned. The rest of the VFT seeds will be used as classroom material for the new intake of kids starting school in September. Last year I sowed over a thousand VFT seeds, and most of them are about 1cm in diameter now:

I received my seeds from Brad and have now planted them. 250 or so little VFT bombs waiting to go off. Great parentage but exact mixes unknown.....will be fun to see what they end up like....some should be qute interesting and worthy of propagation.

Lloyd- are those the VFT seeds that got lost in the mail and finally found you? If they are, they're also popping up over here too. Their background heritage include typicals, dentes, bigmouths, and unnamed giant forms...all originating from Tom Kahl of Seattle. Truthfully, I can't wait until year three when these little beasts are nicely matured! Where's that time travel machine !?!! As for requests for more VFT seeds, here are a few leads: 1. check with Brad in California www.cpukforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16630&highlight=free+vft+seeds2. Our OCPS man Tom is receiving a small batch of fresh seeds, which may be redistributed 3. I'll check with a few growers to see if they have any for sale/ trade

My free VFT seeds came a while ago and there are lots of little guys coming up now. Hopefully I should have lots of nice specimens to trade or give away in a few years.

Thanks for the headsup Flytrap. Good to know. well...I guess I am a newbie with just 7 VFT's in which 3 are in dormancy...but heck...lol! atleast my VFT's are growing and alive....so I guess I did get past the stage of keeping them alive. . I tried a couple of leaf grafts which came off when I recieved the plants. I put one inside live sphagnum...I put one right on peat/...I put another on peat and covered with peat. Gotta see which one lives.
