Oh yes I have quite the collection. They are however free range making them very low maintenance. I just couldn't imagine keeping them all penned up.

KC, you're right in not keeping them penned up.
That leads to excessive flowering, once they become root bound.
Then their enclosure becomes a bit tricky to approach, like visiting Tentacle Town, having to employ a 12 foot wrangler's pole, just to tend to them.
Out on the range, if small clumps of then grow into slow moving "herds", they can be held in check by firing up the old combine to cut a few swaths into them, collecting their seeds in the process.
Their fibre is regarded as being of a higher grade than that of hemp.

Dvg, exactly! That and the whole sentient argument.. But we wont get into that. I find free range gives you the same sense of adventure as one would find collecting from a wild specimen. Leads to a happier, hardier "herd" in the long run. Yes that is true however it is not the season for harvesting.. You'll have to check in then. Thank you, always!
