...never seeded any Filiformis seeds, never purchased Filiformis seeds. If this is Filiformis, strange are its origins...

Could be D. x hybrida; it can be identified better once it's full grown (maybe next year)

Looks like a filiformis but seem big for a first year plant. We'll see. That's cool!

Darn can't see the pics.
D. filiformis is a weed so it could have hitched in on a plant and germinated a year later.

...nope, don't mind at all Willy. When are we switching to the new forum?, looks like my pic posting problem is back.
...I could be wrong but a flower should reveal more about its identity, if it ever comes to that.

Hi AV, Justin is working on the new forum, perhaps it will take a few more weeks to set it up. Willy

...here is a pic taken today... ...this plant totally resembles D'amato's description of D. x Hybrida in the Savage Garden. William, you appear to be right on the money here! I like this plant, it's like a daintier version of Regia. I will try and grow it through the Winter and see what happens. Happy Growing! AV

I think it would be very cool to be D. xhybrida but I don't know of anyone in Canada growing it and because it isn't self fertile it wouldn't be able to seed into other pots. You would have to have intermedia and filiformis cross and then seed into a pot, and the chances of it being pure filiformis would be 99 to 1 without a controlled cross. I really hope I'm wrong though becuase I really need D. xhybrida.

Would be super cool if it turns out to be D. x hybrida! Justin, I'll send you one next year! I got a few striking from leaf cuttings.
