Don't you just love the S. Courtii, great selection of plants! It's definitely my favourite one I have! nice plants, it will be great if you have a pic of your entire bog Here ya go! I hope it'll look a lot fuller next year, I can't wait to see it. I planted them relatively late in this season and I think at an individual level (like the pics in the OP), they look great. But not as a whole yet haha.

I don't think it looks like much right now to be honest. But I really can't wait til they come back with force next year! 100% shout-out to Labine for these quality plants from the sale he had. Anyone have any idea how I should handle winter dormancy? Pine needles? Wrap burlap sacks around it? I don't want them to super-freeze considering it's in a relatively small pot. Cheers

Up to now, I've kept mine in my garage at 32°F. I think this winter I'll go a bit higher, 33°F to avoid freezing. I have an outdoor space heater with an accurate thermostat to keep the temperature range around 1°F.

You can also bury the pots level with the ground, and cover with screen and pine needle mulch. Make sure you protect from ground water and keep a good snow cover. Uncover as soon as the risk of hard frost is over to avoid rot.

I've have some things recently (either squirrels or possums) digging into the pot. Not near the roots though thankfully. You can also bury the pots level with the ground, and cover with screen and pine needle mulch. Make sure you protect from ground water and keep a good snow cover. Uncover as soon as the risk of hard frost is over to avoid rot. I don't think my girlfriend's landlord would appreciate us digging a pot sized hole in the backyard. What are your thoughts on wrapping it in a bunch of burlap and covering it with snow when it gets to that point?

There's a big risk of rhizome freeze which leads to rot if the pots are above grade.
