I had some time recently to take a few pics of the collection outside. With the rainy, cool weather here in Toronto this spring and summer, the plants have never looked better D. paradoxa Lady Dreaming Arnhemland, NT8 - an interesting caulescent form supported upright with help from those red aerial roots. About 2 yo from seed and currently flowering D. anglica Cors Fuchno, Wales, UK -a nice large form. Those lamina are > 5 cm! D. burmanni 'Orange_Red' Whicheura Lake, Cape York, QLD - a compact form with a lovely orange tinge that would have been more vivid had I not fed it recently VFT DC XL - only a few cm when I got it last year but has mushroomed to a sub-adult plant from a steady diet of plentiful bugs VFT Kim II_Sung2 - a really weird mutant originally from BCP. I think its their way of poking fun at the North Korean dictator's family! Thanks for looking. Happy holiday weekend! cpgeek

Growing paradoxa outdoors in Toronto? I'm surprised it's warm enough in the summer there.

Thanks guys for your kind feedback nimbulan: I have been growing Petiolaris Complex dews outside in TO for > 7 years. They flower continuously and divide in full sun for most of the day. I bring them outside early June and take them in mid-Oct or so. When nights temps drop below 15C (eg., Sep-Oct), I enclose them in clear baggies during this time to hold in the heat with no ill effects and they seem to love the extra humidity. Good growing, cpgeek
