looks like they grew the chlorophyll deficient leaves in darkness - bag up the new trap leaves in a black bag, open her up, take a photo and make it look interesting. A sure way to sunburn your vft once it hits sunlight again...pretty dumb if you ask me.

there's another way to make 'em look like that- I forgot one little VFT that was "sleeping" on a cold windowsill, then proceeded to rip down some 100+ year-old walls... By the time I remembered the poor little fellow, it looked like it had been spray-painted flat white... I cleaned most of it off and washed the medium out good, but a few of the older, daeder leaves still have all-white traps.. That is an odd looking plant to be sure, but like FT said it sure does look like viability would be an issue
