I have some Byblis lamella(gigantea) seed that I want to germinate. With GA3 and smoke primer in hand (also for the Drosophyllum seed I'm going to attempt) I've been reading as much as I can on this topic. A few of the CP books made mention of employing tuning forks (to imitate the humming, beating wings of respective pollinators) to release pollen from the anthers of B. gigantea. Has anyone tried the tuning forks? What key were the forks tuned to? I wonder if these forks would help with selfing Pinguicula which can be difficult to pollinate at the best of times. Any input would greatly appreciated. Thx.

For your B. lamellata, I germinated some in vitro 1-2 years ago. I have it in a post somewhere in the TC section of this forum, but if i remember well, i only used chemical scarification with sodium hypochlorite (javel water), although i have to find all the protocol with the details.
