I've just prepared some small pots with peat, sand, and perlite, and I've sown some Drosera nidiformis seed I got from eBay. Has anyone grown this from seed? Any tips appreciated! I will update once they germinate (if they do)!

I find that when germinating sundew seeds, a thin layer of peat (wash your peat!) on top would really help preventing the seeds to get loss into gaps. Keep the humidity high, sprinkle seeds on top of the peat layer, and provide light as if the seeds are plants. Cheers, Willy

Grows strong like a Drosera capensis, though I found with my limited growing time with this species is to transplant early since some seeds grow way faster than other shading the other from the sun, then again I had them clumped up alot. I also got my seeds from ebay and had amazing germination!

They've germinated! Sort of... slowly, and sparsely. I think I misted a bit too heavily after sowing, so between the four 1-inch pots I've sown them in, I've got maybe eight or so seedlings. They're so tiny! Some have their first true leaves. The Drosera regia seedlings are growing much faster - I expected the opposite! Sorry for the glare - Sarran wrap catches light like a mirror
