Hello everyone, I have been trying to find some silica sand in my area (Vancouver BC) but with no success...
Does anyone that live near me know where to get some?

I use pool filter sand. Available at any pool supply place.

You can get pool filter sand at Canadian Tire too. I'm not sure it's ideal because it's really fine but I use it because it's the best I option I've got.

I don't like pool filter sand myself due to how fine it is (always seems to be #20 here in the US.) If you can find an abrasives supply company in your area they'll likely have something you can use. I personally use crushed glass (#10-#20) that's sold as a sandblasting abrasive rather than silica sand.

Be careful of artificial material, it can have salts and minerals contamination. Silica sand (washed) is best.
