My D. Zigzaga and D. Falconeri are blooming at the same time. I tried to pollinated them. Do you think there's a chance for seeds?

Those are very different dews. Unlikely but interesting if any viable seeds.

Never hurts to try but even if you do get viable seed its possible that it will just revert to one of the parent plants anyways right??

Salut Shogg - Unlike those promiscuous Pings, those harlot Helis, those salacious Sarrs, and those nymphomaniac Neps, Dews are demure.
They will successfully cross only between members of the same section. So you can get wolly dew crosses, or pygmy dew crosses (two of the more slutty sections). You can also get the three sisters to break a commandment, or species in the true dews to interchange genes. But, I am unaware of a between section cross. That's not to say they don't exist, just that I haven't heard of them.
Tuberous dews seem less likely to hybridize and to get seed between them and a woolly dew would be surprising indeed. You can try, but if you get something, you'll need to publish an article in the ICPS newsletter!

I think it's extremely unlikely. Most tuberous sundews aren't even genetically compatible with eachother from what I understand, much less species from other sections.

Thanks for the comments gang. I am also of the opinion that the cross is unlikely. The style and stygmata of both plants do not look the same at all. I would not say impossible because the fact that we did not encounter this kind of cross may be due to the fact that these plants do not "meet" in nature. I wondered if it had ever been tempted or documented. I will keep you informed of the results.

Forget about this thread ... Ama - Nop, no seed in either pods The pollen was hard to get too. I rub the two flower together but perhaps that wasn't enough. Sessk - Je suis de la ville de Québec. J'ai pas mal de plantes mais par manque de temps, les échanges postaux sont difficiles actuellement. On regardera ça l'an prochain.
