Hello, this is my first time growing CPs from a seed. (I know this probably isn't the best choice for a beginner grower, but it's hard to find CPs here that are grown plants, so I ordered seeds from a trusted seller). What I am growing: -D. Tokaiensis -D. Rotundifolia -D. Burmannii
-Crimson Sawtooth VFT -'B52' VFT
and
-N. ((Viking x Raff)x North) x (Thor x Veif-I think)
They are in separate plastic containers with a mix of Peat Moss (that has sphagnum in it) and sand. They are misted/watered every day (or when soil isn't moist) with distilled water. They are under two lamps with 13W CFL Daylight bulbs (6500°K) on 16 h timers for a day/night cycle.
It's been about 2 weeks and a day or so, but I don't see any obvious sprouts, roots, or signs of life really. I know the seeds are legit, they looked exactly like the seeds of the plants should, but I'm worried I might be doing something wrong. Is this setup okay? Am I just worrying too much and the seeds are just growing slowly, or are they not going to grow at all?

If the seeds are live:
Tokaiensis, burmanii,VFT-very soon Rotundifolia-? Suggest cold stratification Nep-a few more weeks

You want the media rather moist. I usually start sundews in pots that are in a tray with about 1/2 inch of distilled water and I cover the pots with sand which bags to increase humidity. Just make sure to pull the bags off every day or two so you don't get any mold growth.

Also, what would I be looking for to see if they are growing? Would there be roots, or something white in the ground? Green? For the rotundifolia- how should I do that? Does it mean that one is harder to grow from a seed? Actually, do any of these plants grow easily from a seed from your experience? Thank you for replying

Containers might not have been the best decision, but I think if I transplant them now they might die. Thanks for the tips

Containers are fine just keep media wet. If it dries out any germinated seeds will die a terrible and unusual death 😳

If so, how long did it take to see them sprout from the soil, and what did they look like? Do they germinate easily or does it depend? I got about 10+ seeds for each sundew, though the Burmannii seeds were like powder which was alarming!

Depends on the sundew and the age of the seeds. I've seen them sprout in a week but had them take a month or more. What is the temperature of the room your growing them in? You should see two tiny green leaves.

You should see two tiny green leaves. Unfortunately I don't know the age of the seeds, but they might possibly be around a month or more old, judging how long the EBay ad was up? I will have to check when I get home, but normally it's around the 20°s And also that soil looks very wet, is that what I should be aiming for right now? Um...and now I'm really concerned because after planting them my dad decided (he can be really impulsive sometimes and does things without my permission too...ugh) to put some soil on top. I don't know how much, but will this kill the sundew seeds, or is it still not too late to brush a layer of soil off? And would it stop the other ones from growing too?

Sundew seeds should not be covered. Leave them and hope. I presume "soil" does not mean potting soil.

Thank you SO much for that offer. Seriously, I really appreciate it. I hope these ones will grow but if not I definitely will remember this.
