Hello, I am new to the world of mushrooms but my interest in them has been growing the past year. We moved onto a 20 acre property that is mostly forest and it seems that we have mushrooms everywhere! Would love to learn more about them, any suggestions on books or other resources? Some pictures from last month. Giant puffballs: The one I ate: This is on an old maple tree:

...Welcome to the forum, 20 acres eh???, must be nice. Check out 'A Passion for Mushrooms' by Antonio Carluccio. It is a field guide as well as a cook book, a mushroom bible if you will. I think it's such a great book that I bought 2 additional copies after getting my first one! Don't like reading the same book twice, haha! Cheers.

We love it out here; went from a townhouse with a cubicle for a backyard to the endless backyard. Thanks for the book suggestion, I will check it out! Andre
