I heard this grows like weed but this is the only one where I don't see any growth after all this time! (well...a couple weeks?) Does this need a repot or is this a matter of time? It was sitting on my east-facing window. I'm guessing too much light and have moved it to a shadier spot, but haven't seen any improvements yet.

Any ideas how long a young plant like this usually takes to grow into flowering stage? I'm eyeballing this to be a ~2" pot.

I've seen it flower once it hits 4-5" containers, but it's a fast grower and will rapidly colonize pretty much whatever you put it in.

Size isn't the key. I've had huge globs of it growing and no flowers. Utrics need some cyclic combination of light, humidity and temperature. Get that right for the species and off it goes. My gibba just keeps on flowering. Clearly the conditions are just right. My other utrics are more mysterious.

That's true, I got my gibba flowering and super happy once, but then I changed the setup and they haven't bloomed again..

Water level could be important, too.

My longifolia used to flower pretty consistently every year around October. They were in an 8oz styrofoam cup with a drainage hole on the side about a third of the way up from the bottom. I filled the cup with water and let it drain out by itself. I had the plants growing under T12 shop lights on a year-round 16/8 light cycle.
They are growing fast and through the drainage hole now, but didn't flower last year. I'm guessing it was a combination of stress of being moved bareroot for a week, the lower humidity here, plus having them under sunblaster T5s now. Temperature-wise, I've always kept a small DIF so I'm inclined to think the DIF isn't a major factor.

Mine is sitting in a short cup/dish, 1/3 to half the height of the container. Should I water it immediately when the dish is empty? Or should I let it dry for a day before watering?
Sokkos mentioned T12 shop lights 16/8 light cycle, so does this plant need a lot of sun or just bright indirect light?
And thank you all for the advice!
