So this baby is actually what roped me into trying to grow carnivorous plants... my question now, there appears to be a tiny second plant in there (2 o'clock, behind the bigger leaf) - or am I imagining things? How long would you wait before separating the two? Do you really only recommend repotting them in spring? Thanks, Karin

Best to wait for spring repot - or separate off plantlet at dormancy and keep growing it while parent plant sleeps if looks ready.

...my advice would be to put it in a bigger pot and just leave it alone. Looks like a typical typical, why divide?, just let it grow. Good luck.

Why? Well of course so I get to play with it and then declare I have two. (and then probably cry over having killed them both). I'll leave it alone for now and when I get my supplies sorted, I'll decide about potting it up a size. I can't promise I won't try to winkle a leaf out to try and see if I can propagate it though

...whatever you do just remember that Flytraps (like most other CP's), don't like their roots messed with. It sets them back and sometimes they don't recover. Cheerio.
