Hi Willy - Nicely grown plants, as always. Do you know what the "G2" designation is from? I know early on Peter D'Amato used a lettering system for the P. moranensis that came his way. Most have been moved to other species, with A, D, E, G, & J remaining. So, I was just curious if you know where the "G2" designation originated. If not, no worries. Since there are more than one P. moranensis in my collection, I need to label them differently. It's just a notation that Hal uses; that Ping is from him so I'm just labeling it as G1, G2 like Hal does for his Pings. If anyone knows the exact name/ cultivator I'd be very grateful!

I got them from Gabe, hence G1 and G2.

Hi Willy - I'd follow Hal's lead for sure. Hi Hal - Sounds like a straightforward system to me.

Beautiful plants Willy! It's kind of funny that some of these hungry carnivores look so delicate and pretty. Before, when I thought carnivorous plant, I pictured the blood red pitchers and toothy fly traps. And the bitey pipe flower from Mario Kart. These guys are so innocent looking!

That's one of the reasons I like Pinguiculas, they look so cute and innocent! If I have not learned about them, I wouldn't believe that they are so effective at trapping and eating small bugs like gnats and springtails.

They're lovely. never knew there were so many varieties.... do they come true from seed? I've never tried Ping seeds, they do quite well with divisions and cuttings

Just trying to figure out what to look for seeds let you pretend you have more space than you actually do
