Hola ! Years ago I bought a tiny bare root cutting from BE through HB and have been growing it ever since. That must have been close to a decade ago. give or take a year. Now after so long and pitchers the size of plantains my Trunc has produced flowers, the first one opened today :) Not as exciting as I may have hoped.... But still exciting to me. ( the missus, thought it was pretty anti-climatic) Once more open is it possible them with each other ( from the same plant) ? I only have one nep in bloom, and this is my first flowering Nep ever. It has taking about a month for this thing to open thus far from bud to flower. and there are still al least thirty more buds that could open. Now that I have seen it should I cut them off? I feel bad doing so, as it has worked so much to get here.... what says you all?

If it's female, you could look around for pollen, or freeze the pollen if it's male. Otherwise you could cut it off. Nep flowers are sort of boring.

Storing pollen is really easy.
Tap/scape/remove pollen from the anthers and onto some wax paper. I like to fold the wax paper into an envelope shape before using it as it makes it easy to wrap up the pollen afterward. After you collect your pollen stick the open envelope into a sealed container with a desiccant (you can use rice too) for about 24 hours. After that label the wax paper with the species and date of collection and stick it in the freezer. Pollen will store up to a year this way.
