...I've heard of the Galapagos Tortoise but never Galapagos moss. I use the cheap Canadian stuff, you can get it in large cubes, my plants do just fine in it. I use sand, not perlite so I can't comment on that. Good luck with your plants!

Thanks Tarantulalover and Amanitovirosa! The Galapagos brand was the 1st sphag I could get my hands on. Home Hardware brought me a pkg of coco coir when I asked if they had any peat moss hiding in the back, other garden centres don't have it in stock yet either. Started searching pet stores for sphagnum & found this so figured I'd give it a shot. Managed to get the 3.8 cu ft of peat at Antler yesterday, for less than 1/2 the price of the 4qts of Galapagos.
