I have an African Violet (which I can't post a picture of now because posting images on my phone isn't working properly)
I bought it for 1 dollar at Sobey's and I set up a wick watering system for it and I keep it under a skylight. It's doing swimmingly and has gotten quite a bit bigger since I bought it but it's still fairly small.
It makes deep and solid purple flowers and it's made quite a few since I bought it and then some flowers died but it keeps making more so I assume that's normal

Double post but here is my plant

This is something like 3 weeks into being wick watered, the first 2 weeks I added a little African Violet food to the water, this time it's just regular water. The reason it has some soil on it is because I lost my trowel and I had to repot it with my hands so things got a little messy. It seems to be doing well so I'm very happy considering I only paid a dollar.

Still blooming since I posted in December!

I had to repot mine so the flowers died but they are coming back in larger numbers than before! I have several plantlets I started from leaf cuttings from this plant if anyone would like to trade for something?
