Got this last week from Humber nurseries, and I think that it might need a re-potting. 2 main shoots in the back, plus I think that's a basal shoot in front. Good time to re-pot? take a cutting or 2 maybe? Saw an article about "air layering", perhaps that is an option? So what to do with my first Nep?

Not too leggy, you could let it grow for a least a year or so probably.

What soil do you have it in?

yer would be to quick to re pot when a plant is happy or still looking good, ventrata are known for putting out Basel shoots and stem shoots very easily on there own , for this type of plant layering is no needed only a small cut or a sniped grow tip will produce many stem shoots even adding some of the many now growth pasts will push that along ., , most nepenthes will make Basel's or stem shoots it top growth is cut or damaged in some way a natural survival habit

What do you mean "not to leggy"? do you need to see more pics? It really looks like it needs to be re-potted, and could benefit from a grooming, then again, I am new to these things, and I just dont want to kill it while trying
I am not sure what soil it's in, just whatever it came in from the nursery.
It does look like someone already took a cutting from it. Also, if you look right at the top, about 5 leaves in from the left, there is a growth node. As well, there are mature pitchers attached to what would be cut, and I think I can only make the 1 cut, its only an 8 - 10 inch stem, maybe less.
what would you do with a mature Nepenthes Ventrata in a 6" hanging pot, that you just got from a nursery? so any pointers here will help.

I have the exact same nep Like you. In the exact same pot. Mine has 2 mature stems and 4 new ones coming out. Yours is also potted in the same media as I can tell from the pic. It's most likely pure peat, or peat mixed with tiny amounts of something else.

HAHAHA. When did you get yours, and from where? What are you planning on doing with it?

Maybe all from the same whole seller? Looked at Willy's thread and he seems to have the same one + pot!

I meant it doesn't look overgrown for the pot. I would leave it for now. When the growth points flop below the surface of the soil, basals will naturally form.

I got mine from my local nursery. It's most likely the same supplier. I think I'm gonna leave it till next year to repot it

I'd leave the plant alone for the next month or two before doing anything like cuttings, divisions; just to allow the plant to adjust to the new home. Just my opinion, say if I am the Nep, I wouldn't want to start working super hard right after getting into a new workplace

That is a great way of putting it.
Saw your post Willy, the little guy looks very healthy, showing very little sign of the neglect you mentioned.
What have you guys been doing with yours, any particular care regimen you've been following? what conditions/environment do you have them in?
For now, it's been getting between 70 - 80% humidity, around 24-26 C during the day, and around 18 C at night. It's getting it's light from a CFL, at least 12 hour days. Top water(distilled only) twice a week, with daily misting. Not sure if its catching anything, although, I did find a ladybug trying to get into a baby pitcher.
is there anything that I am missing?

last watering was 5 days ago, I did not feel for the weight, will do that today. Top soil was feeling a bit dry last night.
How dry are you talking? How often have you been watering your?
I bought it for a house plant to hang by a south facing patio door, average room temp 21 C and around 50-55% humidity. The conditions it's in now are only temporary.
There are so many species available, getting it right for one can be tricky. Though with this breed I've read really good things... Hard to kill this, very hardy that, all around great plant to have.
