keep in mind, i still dont have access to this myself yet, i need to give her instruction for now. really hoping to save this little guy.

...ooh, this doesn't look good. The moss looks too dry and the plant itself is either dying or has started its dormancy. I would pot it up in a good peat/sand mix and keep it in a cool place for dormancy. It may come back in the Spring, hard to say. Good luck.

+1 I does seem very dry. Make sure u tell her the importance of distilled or ro water as well. Best of luck. I'm sure it will come back

She has distilled water, so thats at least a one good thing. it's not in a peat:sand mix. it has a south facing window. I am uncertain the watering method, but it is getting some. just not enough. clearly.
I still have hope for it, but you are right, worse case scenario, try again.
