Received this ping about 2 days ago from Willy! It was fine two days ago until I woke up in the morning to this - Normal rain water, tray method (though I did water it top-down when I potted it) - south facing window (cloudy past week) - room temperature is about 20 Celsius - Potted in 15:1 perlite and sphagnum moss - the pullings fell off in the packaging so I just stuck it back in the media Is it just stressed or is my brown thumb at work here

looks a lot like cold damage in other plants, but I've never actually seen a ping get cold damage so it could be something else?

Oh no... What's happening Maybe try putting a plastic clear cup on top of the soil to increase the humidity?

Hey Danyoh,
Sorry about your Ping, do you know what species/hybrid it is?
It looks pretty stressed, but your conditions/approach seem reasonable to me. I use a different media ( 100% mineral mix) for most Pings but that's more of a personal choice for most species/plant. Make sure the crown of the plant doesn't got wet at this point. I think Putting some plastic wrap to raise the humidity like Willy said is a good idea, but be sure to poke some holes in the plastic wrap to facilitate good air circulation. If it's in a south facing window and you get a sunny fall day the Ping could get way too hot if the plastic wrap isn't ventilated.
Hope this helps, my best to your sick Ping.

I don't think it's an ehlersiae. Looks more like an agnata. Ehlersiae has a small compact rosette and short round leaves that turn up at the edges. I'd keep it on the dry side until it perks up.

Ah thought so.. Guess it's a surprise to both Willy and I xD Hopefully I'll find the exact species if it survives and gets bigger

May be it is P. rotundifolia X moctezumae based on Willy's grow list. KP.

*_* The circled parts separated and shriveled.... Could the reason be because it was left in the community mail boxes for 20 hours? (I think the temperature was about 5°C that day)
