I cut 75% of its roots off with my fingers is there anything I can do? I had this for about 3 months but wanted to change pots because there were too many.. I think it's a drosera binata var dichotoma / t form

It should be fine, just keep the humidity high and light intensity high for a month or two, it should recover no problem

Yup it'll be fine, hope you planted the root too, they are really easy from root cuttings.

Sorry to be a necromancer, but did your Drosera make a recovery? I recently received one via mail, and it now has lost all its leaves down to the roots. And every passing day just brought more sadness instead of recovery. If yours made it, that would at least be some reassurance.

Normally shocked sundew would lose dews until they are settled in new environment, and perhaps few leafs but not all. If it has lost all the leaves and died back to just roots, it's likely dead, unless the roots are still strong and healthy (you can tell if the roots are hard and white roots are healthy).

Hey olihlt! Yes it did survive! Most of the old heads died and new ones came up. It's the one closest to the camera I sprayed it once a day and gave it plenty of sunlight (about 6+ hours a day) and it just somehow grew

Well, they are still hard to the touch. And I snapped one close to the end, and it was still white inside. So, maybe there is still hope. Thanks for getting back to me, both of you!

If it somehow dies, I can give you one of my D. binata or D. affinis (if weather permits) for free since I received an extra clump when I bought them

Hi, I just felt the need to share this: The Drosera that looked uber-dead, it actually came back! I wanted to post a picture, but I get an error saying that this forum has reached its attachment limit ... If there is another way, I will post it still. I just want to thank you all for your advice and reassurance.
