So... I got a U. sandersonii as a freebie when I ordered some CP about a month ago and I just noticed today from pictures that it has leaves... When I got them it was bareroot so I just put it in 50/50 sphagnum peat moss and perlite and watered using the tray method. When I potted it, I buried its leaves because I didn't know better... It's not dead yet but seems to grow really slowly.
Should I uncover its leaves or can I just let it grow like that? I don't know if its just me but I feel like it's such a pain to pot it since it won't stand up straight when I try

If the leafs are slowly coming out, I'd leave it alone. If the whole thing is buried and nothing green above soil level, I'd dig it up .

As long as the "roots" are buried just below the surface, all will be well. Having the green bits in the air is a bonus.
