Wow. Too bad a picture doesn't tell us what it's like to breathe that air. Still, with Harper having been in charge for so long, I'm surprised that more of this country isn't on fire.

Yes, air quality isn't the best but we are not really bothered by it. There is a "Smoky Skies Advisory" for all of the Okanagan area and they are telling people with heart or lung conditions to be cautious. This is actually not from the fires in BC! This is from the Stickpin fire in Washington (Google says it is about 400km away)... So I don't think that this one is Harpers fault

Being exposed to another persons second-hand smoke is pretty annoying. Does it smell the least like a regular campfire on a larger scale? I could see that being pleasant for a short while... Harper's never held accountable for the stuff that is his fault, so I have no problem blaming him for the things that aren't, lol. Then again, the Cons are responsible for suspending the monitoring of pine borer populations, which only made this country more of a tinder box, so we'll get to legitimately blame him soon enough.

Yes everything smells like campfire, including my clothing and the house but I kind of enjoy the smell The only downside is that I can't see the mountains anymore...

Too bad about the mountains, do you at least get some vivid sunsets out of this?

This doesn't look too bad compared to the Sechelt fire that smoked out Vancouver and the Island. And ya the sunrise/set should be amazing.

We've been getting the smoke from the fires burning in Washington state, today and yesterday...
...high haze, but no smoky smell in the air.
