I'm looking for fruits/seeds, cuttings, or possibly plants of Synsepalum dulcificum if anyone has some to offer. The berries are quite interesting and if you have never heard about S. dulcificum, do a quick google search and I guarantee you'll be surprised. If nobody grows them yet, I'll look into ordering from ebay and hopefully share some berries in the future.

I've never heard of that particular plant (or berry) before, but you're right, it's interesting! Now I want to get my hands on some miraculin

I've just read that it takes about 4 years from seed to mature, grows to height of 6m, and spreads 3-5m wide; pretty big plant it is!

Yup, it takes a while from seed but cuttings should bear fruit within a year or so. If you keep it root bound in a large pot, it shouldn't grow huge and should fare well as an attractive house plant. It's not a rare plant, just not enough growers in Canada. I found a lot of US sources but not many Canadian sources. I hope there's a miracle fruit grower on the forum, because that would be a miracle.

I've looked for a few years till I found this plant in Canada. It wasn't doing too well for the person I bought it from and it didn't take much longer for me to take it out of it's misery. It needs good water, light etc. and I had no idea it would be that difficult to grow indoors. I'm sure with the right set up it's doable and the miracle of the fruit is worth it. I would try it again if I can find it but importing is the only option I can find now.
Regards

I ordered it from Thailand, it took way longer than 1 month so I don't recommend it. Though I'm surprise to see that the plant is still alive, with few leafs have died away. In the culture tips, it says that the plant likes acidic and well drain soil, medium to bright light but not full direct sun, high humidity. If any luck I shall share my cuttings and berries with OCPS members in few years

Good luck man. I'm really hoping you succeed. Dibbs on the first batch of berries you offer.

Hey willy. Did you need any special phyto certs to bring this into Canada? Where's the website? I'm looking for an affordable plant myself.

It didn't required a cert, and it took more than a month to transport from Thailand so I don't recommend it. My plant is currently growing slowly, I might able to send you a rooted cutting by the end of this year's growing season if you are interested.

If it came as a plant, it needed papers. You were lucky. Are you able to tell us the vendor?
